Campus Ministry
Prayer
The celebration of the Eucharist, school-wide prayer services, and Lauds (Morning Prayer) by the entire school community occur regularly throughout the academic year. At Lauds, the students listen with "the ears of their hearts" (The Rule of St. Benedict, Prologue 1) to spiritual reflections based on the Scriptures given by different members of the faculty, and even at times by the students – an example of how all faculty members contribute to the spiritual formation of the boys and how
the students are called to become spiritual leaders. There are also daily opportunities for students to pray and worship together. Each morning, a small group of students practices Lectio Divina – an ancient and monastic way of praying with the Scriptures – in the Campus Ministry Commons, and at lunch time daily Mass is celebrated in the Abbey Church.
