Delbarton’s US FIRST Tech team took second place in the New Jersey state championships on Sunday, February 12. The Delbarton team, led by seniors Nick Lee '12 and Omar Rizwan '12, competed in November to qualify for a spot in the NJ championships and were up against 48 teams at Sunday’s event held at NJIT. US First Tech is a world-wide engineering competition for students in grades 9 – 12.
For the fourth year in a row the Delbarton Wrestling team led by Coach Bryan Stoll brought home the District IX title last weekend at Morristown High School. Jorge Lopez '12 (138) won his fourth district title in a row. Five Green Wave wrestlers took first place in their weight class, two earned seconds, and four took third place finishes. A New Hot Bites King Has Been Crowned!
For three years, Matt Saburn '11 ruled the Hot Bites contest with little competition. Matt graduated last June and the question of who would be named his successor arose. The student body fan zone was split between Tommy Rhodes '14 and Corbin Davis '14. These two Hot Bite Fighters began the competition strongly, but Corbin finished his plate of Hot Bites in record time. The same went for the next two rounds until the students were cheering for Corbin whole-heartedly. The Council of Seniors filled the plates one last time and Corbin ended up winning he competition with time to spare.

Delbarton Photo Contest
Everybody man your camera! The Delbarton Arts Council is having its first annual DAC Photography Contest. It will run from today until Monday, April 23rd 2012. This contest is open to all Delbarton Students and a cash prize will be handed out to the First Place winner. Faculty and Alumni can submit their photos as well, but they cannot win the contest. Submit your photos to photography@delbarton.org. If you have questions, see Matt Grella or send an email to photography@delbarton.org. On Monday, February 13, 2012 Delbarton students conducted a peaceful yet unfashionably loud protest against what they call the 'shrinking Spirit Week'. Middle School science teacher Caroline Chamberlain has a real knack for turning boring science projects into boy heaven, but this time she and her students outdid themselves. Her seventh graders were given an assignment to recreate the planet Earth's layers using not the usual ho-hum poster board or styrofoam balls, but food. Click here for photos.
