Here’s how it works: Delbarton Lay Trustees will add up to $1 million to Delbarton’s endowment if alumni and alumni parents increase their Annual Fund donations by $500,000 during the 2011-2012 fiscal year, which runs from July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012. If you increase your Annual Fund donation from last year, the increased portion of your donation will be matched 2:1; every new dollar you give will provide two dollars to the endowment. If you did not donate to the Annual Fund during the 2010-2011 fiscal year, your FULL gift to the 2011-2012 Annual Fund will be matched 2:1 by the Challenge.
Any increase you can make over last year’s gift will not only benefit today’s students, but also generations to come by ensuring a strong endowment for the future.
As of May 7, 2012, Delbarton has received $271,000 in new and increased Annual Fund donations, which, in turn, has generated $542,000 in endowment support.
Donations to the Delbarton Annual Fund can be made in the following ways:
By Mail—using the postage-paid envelope you recently received with a Delbarton Fund appeal brochure;
By Phone—Credit card gifts can be made over the phone by calling 1-800-DEL-ALUM.
Online—Credit card gifts can be made online via Delbarton’s secure site at www.delbarton.org.
Catch the Wave Update
The Catch the Wave Award competition ended on January 31st. It was a tight race to the finish, but here are the results:
First place: Class of 2011—35 donors
Second place: Class of 1979—27 donors
Class of 2004—27 donors
Third place: Class of 2008—23 donors
