Wave Wrestling Wins County Tournament

Congratulations to the Green Wave Wrestling team, which won the Morris County Tournament last weekend. The Green Wave piled up 144 team points with help from repeat champions Jorge Lopez '12 (112) and Outstanding Wrestler Jeff Canfora '11 (130), who won his third straight title. According to the Daily Record coverage "Matt Albano '11 (119) not only emerged as the champion in his weight as the fourth seed, he clinched the title for the Green Wave." Derrick Flitcroft '10 (215) took second, and Erik Gobbo '10 (145) and Dean Sullivan '11 (189) earned thirds. Blaze Feury '10 was seeded 13th at 171 but had three pins in the tournament which added a critical 18 points. Said Green Wave Head Coach Bryan Stoll said. ""Blaze is a program guy and what he did set the tone for the team. This is a team sport and we wrestled great as a team." Go Wave Wrestling!
